There are many alternatives available to you.

By Road: You can use the Dover to Calais ferries or the Channel Tunnel. From Calais it is a 420 mile drive to St Michel. Alternatively, if you want a shorter drive but spend more time on the crossing, you can take the ferries to Cherbourg, Caen or St Malo.

By Air: La Rochelle airport is a 30 minute drive away from St Michel en l'Herm. Ryanair, EasyJet, Jet2 and Flybe offer services to this airport.

By Rail: Finally, you can take the train by using the high-speed TGV service to Niort and then use local trains or buses.
