Les Bets - booking conditions 1 The property known as "Les Bets" (hereinafter called the property) is offered for holiday rental subject to confirmation by T McMahon and A McMahon (hereinafter called the owners) to the renter named overleaf (hereinafter called the client). 2 To reserve the property, the client should complete and sign the booking form and return it together with payment of the initial deposit (15% of total rental due). Following receipt of the signed booking form and deposit, the owners will send a confirmation letter. This is formal acceptance of the booking. 3 The balance of the rental is payable not less than six weeks before the start of the rental period. If payment is not received by the due date, the owners reserve the right to give notice in writing that the reservation is cancelled and the property to be relet. Reservations made within six weeks of the start of the rental period require full payment at the time of the booking. 4 The rental price includes electricity, water and linen. 5 The client is required to pay a security deposit of £100 at the time when the balance of the rental is paid. The deposit will cover any breakages or damage to the property and its contents which occur during the rental period. The owners' agent will check for any damage following the client's departure. In the event that there is no damage, the security deposit will be refunded in full to the client. 6 The client agrees that all members of the party named on the booking form shall be covered by a comprehensive travel insurance policy, including full cover for the party's personal belongings, personal liability etc, since these are not covered by the owner's insurance. The client agrees that the owners are absolved of all possible liabilities which may arise due to the client's failure to take out adequate travel insurance for all members of the party. The client agrees that children will always be accompanied in and around the swimming pool. 7 No person who is not specifically named on the booking form shall occupy the property at any time. 8 The client should not arrive before 3.30pm on the day of arrival and should leave by 10.30am on the day of departure. 9 The client agrees to be a considerate tenant and take good care of the property and to leave it in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period. The owner retains the right to make a charge to cover additional cleaning costs if the client leaves the property in an unacceptable condition. The client also agrees not to act in any way which would cause disturbance to those residents in neighbouring properties. 10 The owners shall not be liable to the client 11 Under no circumstances shall the owners' liability to the client exceed the amount paid to the owners for the rental period. 12 Cancellation clause:
13 This contract shall be governed by English law in every particular, including formation and interpretation and shall be deemed to have been made in England. Any proceedings arising out of connection with this contract may be brought into any court of competent jurisdiction in England.
